POP! GOES THE TIMELINE
TALK OF THE WEEK
I found the conversation between Esther Perel and Trevah Noah very engaging. Their exploration of comedy, humour and its deep-rooted connection to the human condition was thought-provoking in places. Watch it here.
READ OF THE WEEK
After a recommendation, I picked up The Courage to Be Disliked by Fumitake Koga and Ichiro Kishimi. What intrigued me from the jump was its format—a dialogue between a philosopher and a student. It took me back to my Classics roots and reminded me of The Rebublic by Plato. It wasn’t what I was expecting at all. The book covers a spectrum of Adlerian psychological principles—some of which didn't immediately resonate with me. However, one idea that stood out was the importance of identifying and separating tasks in interpersonal relationships. The concept of separating tasks serves as a guide to understand our role within relationships, helping us identify what falls under our control and avoid overstepping into others' responsibilities. I wish I had known about this concept in 2023, lols.
THROWBACK OF THE WEEK
A few years ago, I created an Easter series called The Miscalculation of Lauryn Hill, which essentially positioned her at all the key locations associated with Holy Week. The twist was her missing the action due to her arriving late. Check it out below:
Exclusive for my paid subscribers, I made some cute Easter box templates that you can print, colour, assemble and enjoy!
